NELAC Home Page
The National Environmental Laboratory
Accreditation Conference (NELAC) is a voluntary association of
State and Federal agencies whose purpose is to establish and
promote mutually acceptable performance standards for the
operation of environmental laboratories. EPA's National
Environmental Laboratory Accreditation Program (NELAP) provides
support to NELAC to oversee the accrediting authority programs.

The entire contents of "Test Methods for
Evaluating Solid Waste, Physical/Chemical Methods", SW-846,
3rd Edition, December 1996 and it's updates can be found here (and
it’s free!). Each method can be accessed from a Table of
Contents on this page. Draft versions of proposed methods can be
found as well.

OSW Methods Team Home Page
The Methods Team is the focal point within the
US EPA's Office of Solid Waste (OSW) for expertise in analytical
chemistry and characteristic testing methodologies, environmental
sampling and monitoring, and quality assurance.
OST Analytical
Methods
The EPA publishes laboratory analytical methods
that are used by industries and municipalities to analyze the
chemical and biological components of wastewater, drinking water,
sediment, and other environmental samples that are required by EPA
regulations under the authority of the Clean Water Act and the
Safe Drinking Water Act.
ASTM Methods
ASTM methods can be found in the "store" area of the
ASTM web site. These methods are available for a fee.
Illinois Pollution
Control Board
The State of Illinois Pollution Control Board home page
provides access to information pertaining to rules and
regulations, statutes, legislation and various publications.
Updates to legislation can be found there.
Also, the complete text of Title 35 of the Illinois Administrative
Code can be found and downloaded by specific part number.
IEPA
The State of Illinois Environmental Protection
Agency was created to safeguard environmental quality, so as to
protect health, welfare, property and the quality of life.
Field Analytic Technologies
Encyclopedia (FATE)
The U.S. EPA Technology Innovation Office, in
collaboration with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, developed
this online encyclopedia of field analytic technologies. The
encyclopedia provides information about field-screening
technologies.
